Not Your Ordinary Kikay Film

Ang Pagdadalaga Ni Maximo Oliveros. I've heard about this movie in Pinoy Big Brother. That was when Big Brother showed the film to the remaining housemates saying that the cd was a 'good deed' from Sam. After seeing some of the movie's scenes in PBB, I thought that it was quite an interesting film. I was surprised to know that it is being shown in local cinemas. I watched the film without having second thoughts about it. I have many bisexual, gay friends and I really find their viewpoints interesting. Aside from that, I can also say that I'm curious about experimental films.

I was overwhelmed to realize that I got more than what I expected. The story did not solely focus on homosexuality issues. It tackled important issues like poverty, family values and unconditional love. Aside from the great theme, the film was also graced with superb actors. They were sooo good that the drama will make you feel that you actually belong to their world.

Nathan Lopez, the lead actor is not very 'Maxi' in real life (seeing him portray Maximo will make you think otherwise, at ang taray! herbench ang tops nya hahah). Yes, he is straight and he goes to a Christian school in Quezon City. He has had several acting stints in ABS-CBN. Ping Medina, son of Pen Medina, also imparted his incomparable acting prowess in the movie.
