Cab Talk

I happened to ride a cab the other week and like what I usually do, I sat on the passenger's seat. After a few minutes the driver blurted, "why did you choose to sit there and not at the back? If I were a robber, you would have suffered a helpless fate." It made me think, "Well," I said, "I remember a friend's story about a robber who hid under the back seat and stole her mobile phone... that was really creepy. That is aside from the fact that I do not like giving the driver the feeling that he is my slave." The driver said that my friend's story is hard to believe and that it is more dangerous to sit in front. He added that I should ride yellow, green or red colored cabs (his taxi is a white corolla). He said that company cabs are more secure than those that are individually owned (white colored). Now I know why they are color-coded (pardon my ignorance)! He further said that R&E is an established taxi company and that a lot of call center agents in Makati ride their cabs. Well I guess this information is worth sharing especially to those who work on late night shifts :) Be vigilant... choose the right cab :P

She always blushes (sa hiya, ngayon pa nahiya noon hindi :P) and laughs whenever I recount how our first conversation went. She is...

... someone who has the patience to wait for me while I put on my make up and do my morning chika in the ladies room...
... someone who is easily irritated by poor customer service...
... someone who has an open house for emergency sleep overs...
... someone who is willing to entertain my call even if I just have to cry my heart out...
... someone who can make me laugh effortlessly...
... someone who always prays for me...
... someone who would rather cry than retaliate when I'm mad and hurting...
... someone who makes me feel that I am special and blessed...
... someone who is willing to give me a Body Shop blush even if she bought it for herself hahaha...
... someone who amazes me with never before heard showbiz chikas...

She likes Jasmine Trias, appreciates Mariel Rodriguez and loves Lawrence Ramirez / Jeffrey Belvez... hahaha peace!

She is the darling of our batch.

Thanks for being there for us Raych. We missed you. We are glad you're back. May all your dreams come true on your special day. The Almighty will always be there to guide you, have faith and always do your best.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

On Love and Ada

Thanks to Leia, I was able to watch Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah Ze Musikal. The play offers twice the fun that you can get from the movie. It was a laugh trip from beginning to end. In between those funny lines lie the heart of the musicale. It speaks about true love - Dodong loved Ada despite of all the complexities; and about taking chances - Ada stepped out of his comfort zone to welcome the greatest feeling on earth. The play's lessons are perfect for the coming season. They say that true love means showing your love even if it's hard to. Love is not just a feeling, it is a decision and a commitment. With every commitment comes the effort to make things work. You may get hurt at times, but you should not stop from believing in the magic of love. You should also learn to love yourself. It's hard to share love if you dont leave something for yourself. Okay, okay I'll stop before my friends throw their stuff at me hahaha.

*friends with Didi and Dodong

Here's my valentine message for everyone: If you are in love, cherish the feeling and make your special someone 'the one'; if you are waiting for love, never lose hope; if you are afraid of love, take a chance and be courageous.

Well... Valentine's is a free day for doing the craziest and corniest things ... Celebrate Love!

Happy Hearts' Day everyone ;)

Camping @ Anawangin Zambales

Last month, I was lucky enough to join my ex-officemates / camping friends in an exciting adventure at Anawangin, Zambales. I have had camping classes back in college and I can say that climbing mountains is not a piece of cake. The trip that we had is perfect for first time campers. It was more of a beach escapade. The destination has a lot to offer.

It is a virgin island with 'blairwitch' pine trees (haha imagine that). The place is perfect for groups who want to chill out and enjoy nature's beauty; for individuals who want to do some soul searching; for couples who are of the romantic-adventurous type (take note: walang signal sa island :P). Imagine lying on the sand with great friends while staring at a blanket of stars. Never in my whole life have I ever seen such a beautiful night sky sprinkled with a huge amount of stars (blame it to Manila's pollution). The sand is really fine so even if you are not a flipper you will not hesitate to take a dip in the clear waters.

What made the escapade even more enojoyable is the fact that the cost was low. Since you have to bring your own food and tent, you just have to spend on transportation:

414 per person - bus (Caloocan - San Antonio and vice versa)
40 per person - tricycle (2 way each tricycle can accommodate 3 persons, San Antonio to Pundaquit Beach)
267 per person - boat (2 way each boat can accommodate 3 persons, Pundaquit Beach to Anawangin Cove)

The experience was really great. Thanks to Joy, our persistent organizer. Go ahead, take your well-deserved break and enjoy the sun in Anawangin :)
